Position Overview:
As an Order Entry Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately entering orders into our system, coordinating with various departments to fulfill orders promptly, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently and accurately enter customer orders into the system, paying close attention to detail and ensuring accuracy.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders, including tracking inventory availability and shipment schedules.
Communicate with customers regarding order status, shipment details, and any inquiries they may have, providing excellent customer service at all times.
Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any order discrepancies or issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain organized records of orders, invoices, and customer communications for reference and auditing purposes.
Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support the operations of the order processing department.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business administration or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in order entry, customer service, or administrative roles preferred.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with order processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
Familiarity with heavy machinery parts and components is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn and adapt to product knowledge is essential.
