Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this Senior Application Project Manager - AS400 Waterfall Method at this pharmaceutical industry leader in Ville Saint-Laurent;
• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
• Manage the overall relationship to ensure the success of the program (projects and products).
• Communicate and lead others in planning, organizing, and coordinating work to ensure successful execution and contract commitments
• Drive alignment and forward progress across multiple projects and customers, keeping all key stakeholders informed
• Create executive summaries and customer facing summaries
• Source resources, manage and optimize delivery capacity.
• Work with the finance team to oversee the financial aspects of projects.
• Issue / Risk Management: Anticipates and identifies Risks and Issues that may impact implementation and develops and implements mitigation and corrective actions.
• Ensures projects remains focused on key objectives and goals. Develop and manage expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas
• Ensure proper change management procedures are followed to ensure scope is managed and additional work is captured
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for this Senior Application Project Manager - AS400 Waterfall Method at this pharmaceutical industry leader in Ville Saint-Laurent;
• At least 5 years project management experience in an IT or Cloud Technology environment
• Strong verbal, written skills (in both English and French)
• Self-motivated with a tolerance to ambiguity and change
• Assertive, holding the team to planned dates
• Experience with Enterprise applications (e.g. data migrations, upgrades of corporate finance/ sales/ engineering systems) is an asset
• Experience with AS400 applications (asset)
