Responsibilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to thoroughly analyze and comprehend business requirements, effectively aligning them with the functionalities offered by Oracle HCM Cloud Fusion.
• Engage in Functional/Technical Design Workshops to verify the application of industry best practices.
• Provide specialized guidance for process optimization following Oracle Cloud's best practices, while considering BC Transit's specific requirements.
• Enable the execution of functional and technical tasks to achieve project transformation objectives and milestones.
• Work closely with both functional business and technical teams to bridge communication gaps and foster a unified project environment.
• Verify that decisions adhere to overarching business goals, Oracle Best Practices, and user needs.
• Assist in the data migration process, guaranteeing the smooth transfer of pertinent data to Oracle HCM Cloud.
• Work alongside the implementation partner to ensure system configurations adhere to established standards.
• Collaborate with the team and guide the preparation of validation scripts, testing scenarios, and supervise the development of test scripts for Oracle HCM Cloud projects
• Supervise the quality assurance process for both functional and technical deliverables.
• Identify risks proactively and collaborate with the project team and implementation partner to address issues or obstacles.
• Consistently provide updates on progress, challenges, and accomplishments to the Lead Project Manager.
• Escalate critical issues to the Lead Project Manager for timely resolution.
• Contribute to the creation of project status updates for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in technical processes and configurations.
• Provide recommendations for enhancing system performance and user experience.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, sciences, engineering, human resources, or other related field and/ or 10 + years of related work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within the last 10 years implementing some combination of Oracle HCM modules such as CoreHR, Compensation, Time & Labour, Absence Management, Payroll, Benefits and Recruitment.
• Minimum of 3 successfully delivered full implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud as Functional SME or similar roles
• Must have hands-on experience with payroll and human capital management systems
• Must have Oracle HCM Processes and System knowledge
• Experience in HCM Extracts, Oracle Cloud data loaders (HDL and spreadsheet loader), BI Publisher and OCI integration services
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem-solving.
• Ability to develop new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience reporting to senior leadership
• A demonstrated ability to manage, mentor and collaborate with more junior staff
• Must have an Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management Certification
• Must have experience implementing large software projects in a large organization (500+ employees) in the public sector, preferably with crown corporations.
• Must have experience collaborating on business process enhancements.
• Asset to have a Payroll Certification (CPP, FPC, CPM etc.)
• Asset to have a project management certification (PMP or Prince2)
• Asset to have experience implementing position management in a large organization (500+ employees)
