description:Randstad for IST is recruiting for a Material Handler!

What will you be doing?

Job Description:

•To put away received inventory performing the required material transaction within our ERP system locating the materials in the proper inventory locations
•To liaise with supervisors to obtain required pick lists for preparation
•To stage and pull required materials for job completion including verifying system inventory locations and corresponding withdrawals of materials from the storage locations to the shop in process location or new storage locations
•To assist with the loading and unloading of freight when required
•To ensure all parts are adequately indentified and quantified prior to storage
•To ensure completed job packages are provided with completed parts at the time of storage
•To ensure all materials are properly labeled by the production team with the JOB#, part number listing and quantities
•Issuance of materials to completed jobs and verification of all materials issued prior to job closure
•Closing of all shop jobs (excluding blue jobs) and proper locating of completed parts in the inventory system if needed
•To return to stock all materials that are left after job completion, ensuing proper labeling, storage and systemic location
•To produce shortage reports when inventory discrepancies are found and initiating investigations as required
•To report discrepancies with located inventory to the production control team
•Ensure all quality and production procedures are adhered to
•Ensure all Safety Rules and Regulations are followed
•Participating in routine cycle counts
•To perform required inventory transactions in order to maintain system inventory integrity
•Perform additional assignments per Production Supervisor’s direction

5 DAY WORK WEEK! (Days 6:00am to 4:30 pm or Afternoons 4:30pm-3:00am)

qualifications:What are we looking for?

•5 years related experience
•Forklift Licence / Broderson equipped with a boom and jib crane experience
•Strong troubleshooting / problem-solving skills
•Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
•Knowledge of fabrication shop production processes
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to maintain focus in an environment subject to constant change and pressure
•Knowledge of ERP system and material transactions
•Enthusiastic/High Energy/Hard Working/People Person
