description:One of our clients, a large global organization with multiple business lines is currently looking for a Senior Compensation Specialist. You will need to be very strong technically and have a high degree of knowledge about current compensation practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large, global, matrixed organizations. If you excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments and have strong communication skills and high attention to detail, this could be your next opportunity.

More precisely, your principal responsibilities will be the following:

- Analysis: Compensation and equity surveys, job comparisons and evaluations, salary benchmarking, gather market and internal data and best practices about current trends in compensation
- Reporting: prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports for managers, provide input about reports
- Performance management: assist with tracking the performance management and review process
- Year-end processes: merit increases, year-end bonuses
- Incentive plans: update, manage and create short and long term incentive plans
- Reward and recognition: streamlining programs, ensuring programs are equitable and current
- Data management: analyzing and compiling data, look for trends between historical and current data and recommending program changes, ensuring all employee information is up to date
- Manager support: provide support to HR Business Partners and senior leaders on any compensation issues, policy interpretation, analysis and reports, making suggestions to improve plans
- Participation in other HR projects, work with outside vendors as required

qualifications:- 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience with your main focus on compensation including data analysis, design and administration of compensation plans, experience with year-end processes
- Previous experience in large, global, matrix type environments is required
- University degree in HR Management or the equivalent education and experience, CHRP and/or CCP is an asset
- Advanced technical skills – Excel (pivot tables, v look up, macros), Word, Access
- Experience with HRIS/HRMS systems, SAP would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid research skills, knowledge of laws and regulations related to compensation
- Strong analytical mind set, creative problem solving skills
- Team player and strong customer service focus, strong negotiation skills
- Self starter, flexible and positive attitude
- Detail oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines and high expectations
- Able to excel and thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment
