The opportunity is here. Timing is everything. This is a chance for a Senior Mechanical large buildings Estimator to join and lead a top Canadian group. This opportunity is a long-term. This opportunity is a step above whatever else is on the market. This opportunity is once in a life-time.
A top mechanical contractor located in the GTA is looking for their next estimating leader. As our aging workforce continues to create new opportunities, this contractor realizes that it is time to strategically make sooner than later. The right professional for this role will have 15+ years of experience with extensive exposure to large buildings / P3 Project such as hospitals, universities and a wide variety of ICI /public buildings. This elite unionized mechanical contractor has been awarded some of the most prestigious projects of all time and can offer a defined career path in addition to career stability.
** Willing to relocate and sponsor the right individual.
Responsibilities:
-Knowledge of a variety of contract arrangements such as: Lump Sum, Design Build & Public/Private Partnership
-Budgeting/scheduling
-Computerized estimating systems, spreadsheet design and formulas
-The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
-Understanding of Drawings and Technical Specifications
-Quantity Take-Offs (including experience with computerized/on-screen products)
-Labour Costing & Productivities
-Ability to Obtain and Build Unit Pricing
-Understanding of Trade Scope Definitions and Local Market Conditions
-Understanding of Varied Contractual Terms & Conditions
-Conceptual Estimating Competency
