Responsibilities:

• Provide Instrumentation design support to multidisciplinary teams on maintenance and expansion projects
• Basic design/specification and detailed design of Instrumentation systems and materials, including technical selection, calculations, and sizing
• Creating material requisitions c/w specifications and data sheets on valves, indicators, flow meters, PSV's, transmitters, etc.
• Vendor document review and approval
• Evaluate Vendor quotations for technical adequacy, budgetary constraints and perform bid tabs where required
• Create CWP packages including scope of work and drawings, such as loop drawings, installation details, P&ID input, datasheets and location drawings and perform interdisciplinary reviews
• Able to liaison with Client's during project meetings, HAZOP's, and adhere to Client standards
• Able to prepare man-hour estimates and capital costs for small to medium size projects
• Participate in project planning and execution
• Ability to work alone, or lead teams of up to 20 people overseeing quality and able to mentor junior staff
• Can actively identify scope and manage MOC processes and variances

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A minimum of 8 years past experience in Instrumentation within an EPC environment and a complete understanding of the engineering documents associated with instrumentations such as: P&ID's, loop sheets, specification sheets, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, installation detail drawings, etc.
• Experience in oil/gas, mining, pulp/paper, and thermal power generation is an asset
• An Engineering Degree is required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
