Senior Mechanical Engineer - Vessels

• We are seeking Mechanical Engineers with experience in Vessel and other Static Equipment Design. The candidate needs to have experience with checking Field Fabricated Storage Tanks specifications and familiar with the design of the Tanks

As a Pressure Vessel/Static Equipment Engineer you are:

• Responsible for activities associated with designing and specifying pressure vessel equipment including reactors, towers, drums, tanks, and various appurtenances including supports, ladders, platforms, internals, pipe supports and pipe guides
• Responsible for developing preliminary equipment estimates and scope to support project development
• Responsible for preparing specifications, data sheets, Request for Quotations, technical bid summaries, purchase orders and construction work packages
• Responsible for reviewing documents of industrial mechanical equipment used for oil, gas, and petrochemical processing facilities
• Assist in the development and update of discipline standards and procedures
• Actively participate in, promote and maximize the use of Client’s Knowledge Community and other available resources
• Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of projects

Position Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equivalent
• 10 - 20 years in the EPC industry or related industry is preferred
• Must be eligible to register with Alberta professional Engineering Association membership (APEGA)
• This position may require the successful candidate to work in either Calgary, Alberta or Project locations in Alberta and British Columbia
• Must possess sound knowledge of industry standards and Codes
• Have a sound working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 2
• API Standards 650 and 620
• Welding specs
• Design Programs
