job description

Are you a leader in the staffing industry ready to motivate a team of recruiters and account managers and drive results?

We’re searching for a Branch Director for our Engineering line of business who’s ready to tackle an exciting new chapter in their career as part of our downtown Vancouver branch. The Director is a key contributor to the strategic direction of Randstad’s Engineering line of business and plays a pivotal role in the future success of Randstad Engineering by assuming all day-to-day operational responsibilities within Vancouver to drive vision and segmented growth (Manufacturing, Construction & Energy).

As our new leader, you’ll report directly into the President, communicating all relevant matters pertaining to branch operations, inclusive of business planning, sales leadership and staff recruitment and training. You’ll manage all engineering recruiters and account managers with respect to recruitment, selection, orientation, attendance, health and safety, Workers’ Compensation, progressive discipline, employee relations, performance management, salary administration, training and development, delegation of specific responsibilities and employee dismissal; all while maintaining a stimulating work environment at all times.

You’ll provide mentorship and oversee the professional development of the team, assist with new hire training and follow up with new sales employees as required, coach individual team members to perform to the maximum of their ability and to co-ordinate the progressive skill development and cross training of employees. You’ll use Randstad’s technology to monitor sales reporting standards, set sales quotas for Account Managers, Resource Managers and Recruitment Advisors and oversee data integrity.

You’ll be commercially savvy, exceeding revenue projections on a monthly/annual basis, ensuring that gross margins targets are met and the branch meets profitability targets, while holding full P& L responsibilities for the branch. You’ll establish the local vision, strategies and plans while ensuring alignment with overall company mission, vision, strategies and values. You’ll provide complete business development strategies and account plans that encompass the use of Randstad Engineering services, address the client’s current recruitment challenges, anticipate needs, and propose solutions to future staffing challenges. You’ll increase corporate visibility within current accounts through regular executive calls, visits, executive presentations and delivery of top-tier value added programs and develop high level business contacts and relationships.

Last but certainly not least, you’ll use an entrepreneurial approach and work with the President to provide annual forecasts of revenue and develop the Randstad Engineering service offering with market growth plans and strategies for each operating unit (Energy, Manufacturing & Construction) to expand market share in Vancouver.

So what will it take to be successful? Aside from endless amounts of passion, ambition, energy, and tenacity:

• You’ll have minimum 5 years’ experience managing a team and growing salespeople (listening skills)
• You’ll be renowned for exceeding sales quotas and have a passion for producing results
• You’ll have previous experience in managing a P&L
• You’ll be an efficient recruiter and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including presentation skills)
• You’ll have previous experience in using Microsoft Office products and Outlook
• You’ll have a strong desire for success and high commitment

If you think you have what it takes, please apply today.
