A day in the life of a Business Control Director:
•Lead and ensure an effective financial planning cycle (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)
•Thoroughly monitor, analyse and understand the performance of Canadian lines of business. Advise on key trends deviation from planning cycle scenarios and areas of continuity and risk
•Prepare reports, communications and presentations for internal/external stakeholders
•Monitor, analyze, and understand strategic performance issues by running sophisticated analyses (e.g. financial models, pricing analysis), and advise various stakeholders
•Support key projects/initiatives to improve the business performance of the different lines of business of Randstad Canada. Challenge and determine with management how to maximize and enhance performance (e.g. allocation of resources, investment cycles)
•Assist the Canadian leadership team in the formulation of the company’s strategy and growth priorities
•Be a key partner for the Managing Director and CFO in discussions about the development of the company and its lines of business
•Manage and coach a team of 4 to 5 business analysts/controllers
•Drive simplification, professionalization and improvements in the planning & control cycle, as well as further automation and digitalization of processes
•Enhance existing financial system & tools, and implement new IT solutions


What we are looking for:
•University degree in economics, finance or science. (CPA or MBA preferred)
•Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in a major international listed company
•A strong track record in finance, and experience in fast paced and fast growing environments.
•Fluently bilingual- verbally & written (French/English)
•Awareness of how to make business impact in a multicultural environment.
•Experience presenting to C-level executives and clients
•Inspirational leadership, developing & coaching people, maturity and problem solving (ability to connect, confront, challenge and inspire the people you work with).
•Has a significant impact on (internal and external) stakeholders at different levels, and drives business change from a finance perspective.
•Provides a full, clear and well-presented picture of performance risks and opportunities, and ensures key issues remain on the radar of management.
•Acts as a link within the business environment, bringing together people from different parts of the organization to improve the finance division, staff and organization, and business performance.
