Title: HR Business Partner
Location: Can work from either Toronto, Calgary or Montreal

Randstad Canada is looking for a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to support our growing organization. You will be a key member of a mighty HR team providing generalist support in multiple key areas for our Staffing Central and Western regions as well as our RIS division.

As an HRBP, you will Collaborate with HR Leaders in Specialty functions to determine necessary programs for each client group including employee relations, short- and long-term disability program management, performance management, development, succession planning, and strategic support for the business. Work with HR team and LOB leadership to implement business initiatives.

A day in the life on an HR Business Partner:
•Partners with HR colleagues to ensure effective design and implementation of HR initiatives within LOB’s
•Partners with Performance and Development Team to ensure the effective design and implementation of all training and development programs
•Partners with Total Rewards Team to ensure competitive offerings that position Randstad as an employer of choice
•Supports the Health and Safety Team in effective claims management for internal employees
•Acts as advisor to Compliance & Legal Affairs in matters of legislative risk management in all employment-related legal areas, including; employment standards, equity, privacy and access to information, human rights, and health & safety legislation
•Monitors and updates HR policies as needed
•Responsible for communicating HR recommendations throughout all levels of LOB leadership (as appropriate) and executing on strategic recommendations
•Responsible for managing all employee relations (recruitment initiatives, onboarding, performance management, compensation, change management and succession planning) within client group
•Partners with HR Admin and Internal Payroll to ensure employee data integrity; reporting relationships; employee transfers, role changes or departures
•Responsible for tracking, analyzing and communicating all people trends with potential to affect the business and making recommendations to the LOB president.

What we are looking for:
•University Degree with a focus in human resources is strongly preferred
•4 or more years of prior experience in a generalist Human Resources role, with a strong emphasis on employee relations is required
•Solid understanding of prevailing labour legislation
•CHRL Designation, or in progress
•Bilingualism (French/English) is a definite asset
•A high level of tact and diplomacy, in addition to respect for sensitive and confidential information
•Occasional travel to branches across Canada is required, at least once per quarter.
