Are you extremely proficient in Word and an expert at quality assurance? You’re attention to detail is out of this world? You’re eligible for security clearance?

We’re looking for a Proposal Writer with all of these skills to join an awesome team on a 14-month fixed term contract at our Randstad Ottawa branch.

In the role of Proposal Writer, Government Services you will work closely with our account and recruitment team to gather and confirm proposal requirements related to contract staffing of technical government positions. You’ll ensure our bids are accurate and presented exactly as required by the requestor. If the responsibilities below get you excited, this could be the role for you:

- Analytical proof-reading, interpreting, creating / writing, in-depth searches, reviewing, formatting, editing and assembling proposal resumes for submission
- Analyze and interpreting federal government RFP resource requirements
- Work closely with recruiters, account managers, External Recruiters and proposal management to ensure appropriate and timely resource selection for various projects being delivered to clients
- Perform thorough quality assurance reviews to ensure candidate resumes are compliant against requirements & consolidate inputs/updates, and manage document versions to completion and final approval
- Create/format proposal and matrix grids in accordance with solicitation requirements and company templates
- Create and maintain knowledge base content, templates, tools, and processes

Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role as a proposal writer with the below:

- 1 -2 year of experience in writing of resumes and completing grids/matrices;
- 1-2 year of experience in QA of resumes and grids for Government of Canada RFP’s;
- Asset - developing responses to Government of Canada RFP’s ;
- Strong attention to detail and ensuring the highest level of quality in all of your work, while working under challenging deadlines and being self motivated.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, handling various job responsibilities at once / Ability to manage multiple responses /tasks concurrently;
- Highly proficient in MS Office platforms (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. ; however, we’re looking for a detail-oriented, driven individual who is extremely proficient in Word and Excel, can proofread like a pro (you already do it daily!), and is known for their quality assurance skills.
