Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Mississauga. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for a range of accounting duties. This includes entering invoices in accounts payable, communicating with vendors, and performing various clerical tasks. The role will primarily focus on the accounting and accounts payable work related to a specific construction project, with the opportunity to assist with other projects as needed.
This role offers a competitive annual salary starting at $50,000, along with three weeks of vacation, a bonus program, and comprehensive benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

- Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests.
- Sort, code, and match invoices.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
- Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing.
- Maintain accurate historical records and provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Self-starter with the ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Real estate and construction industry experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills.
