Responsibilities
Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions, including vendor information and payment details.
Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolve discrepancies, and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging report to ensure timely payments and prevent overdue accounts.
Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals and resolve any discrepancies before processing payments.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and account reconciliations.
Maintain a well-organized filing system for invoices, payments, and related documentation.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable processes.
Assist in the implementation of D365 to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function.
Qualifications
DEC/AEC in accounting or administration with relevant experience
2 to 5 years' experience
Experience working with D365
Bilingual (an asset)
