Responsibilities
- Processing and posting customer payments to accounts accurately and promptly.
- Generating and issuing invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Reconciling customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Handling customer inquiries and providing necessary information related to accounts.
- Collaborating with the sales and customer service teams to address billing issues.
- Monitoring overdue accounts and implementing collection procedures as needed.
- Preparing and distributing regular reports on accounts receivable status.
- Applying cash receipts to appropriate customer accounts and maintaining records.
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Assisting in the month-end closing process related to accounts receivable.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Participating in audits and providing documentation as required.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable role or related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective financial analysis.
- Capable of adapting to changes and demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.
- Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to handle inquiries, resolve disputes, and maintain positive customer relations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues and other departments.
- Knowledge or experience with software such as SAP, Quickbooks, SimplyAccounting, and Yardi
