Our client, a major player in the life reinsurance industry is looking to hire an Reinsurance Analyst for their downtown Montreal office.

- Competitive salary scale based on experience (between $5ok/year and $55k/year + 5% bonus);
Responsibilities
Carry out quality control of transaction files, including verification of concordance between codes used by customers and those in the internal reinsurance administrative system;
Ensure that all customer-reported policy transactions are entered into the internal reinsurance administration system;
Analyze and enter complex transactions rejected by the automated validation process;
Analyze and extend premium payment schedules rejected by the automated validation process;
Process and track reinsurance premium billing and payment;
Propose priority levels for action on transactions or extension of premium payment schedules.
Enter substantiated and documented analyses into the department's archiving tools (Azure DevOps, data sheets, etc.);
Draft correspondence to customers regarding transactions requiring modification;
Collaborate with all divisions within the Administration department to achieve departmental objectives;
Work with internal and external auditors on audit mandates;
Perform any other related duties;
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or relevant professional experience;
Experience in reinsurance administration is (an asset);
Professional working proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is required to analyze transactional data in English and serve English-speaking clients;
Broad knowledge of micro-computing (Excel, Word, and Outlook);
Knowledge of either SQL, VBA or Power Automate (an asset);
Abilities:
Good numerical skills;
Sense of logic, complexity and analytical skills;
Strong observational skills and detail-oriented;
Capable of managing several files simultaneously;
Organized, takes initiative, self-driven and proactive;
Ability to problem-solve and challenge the status quo;
Client-focused;
Team player;
Ability and willingness to learn new software quickly;
Meets deadlines;
