Our client in the Mississauga area is looking to hire an Application Engineer/ Technical Support who will be involved in working in a collaborative team environment as well as work closely with customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical specialties including conducting fuse and safety testing programs, prepare product application information, and deliver technical and product training.
This is a full-time hybrid permanent position with extensive benefits and a competitive salary.

Hybrid: 3 days on site and 2 days remote
Responsibilities
• Responsible for providing technical and product application support to the sales organization, distribution partners and end user customers.
• Provide technical expertise and support on products and standards to existing customers and organizational personnel
• Receive, analyze and respond to application requests directly with customers and sales offices
• Work with Quality on the FSR / RMA process
• Co -ordinate customer leads or technical issues follow up with sales force
• Prepare and administer cross reference data base
• Assist the sales force at OEM, specifier, consulting engineer and end user calls
• Conduct fuse and safety testing programs for both company and competitive product
• Prepare and evaluate product incident reports and assist with investigations
• Maintain central filling system for all product data, competitive information etc.
• Upload new and corrected pdf’s to website. Modifies and uploads required
information to create and support company universally
• Prepare product application information for use internally and externally
• Prepare and deliver technical and product training to sales, customer care, engineers and training schools
• Attend industry events and represent organization at trade shows
• Assist the team in project related work as required and outlined by the Manager
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field
• 3- 5 years technical knowledge and experience in electric power or control systems
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to travel without restrictions in USA and Canada as needed (Travel; 20—25%)
