Responsibilities
- Design and implement automations across Operations using combination of in house and open source development tools
- Work with a multi-functional team of subject matter experts (SMEs), business analysts and platform engineers, in an Agile delivery model to:
- Develop network automation, network tools/scripts and web front end interface for users
- Develop and integrate various databases for tracking and interfacing with other systems/tools
- Research and recommend NSS/OSS tool requirements to support the new platforms
- Manage the day-today operations of production equipment
- Identify new automation opportunities based on data driven analysis
- Liaise with other Engineering teams for ongoing projects and roadmap planning
- Participate in the development, validation, and deployment of AI/ML models
- Perform data analysis to uncover insights from network analytics for designing and developing of actionable performance metrics, alerts and dashboards
Qualifications
MUST HAVE:
- Experience in object-oriented programming (i.e. Java) and/or scripting (i.e. Python/Perl/Robot Framework)
- Experience in web design (i.e. HTML or JavaScript) with basic knowledge of databases (i.e. SQL or Oracle)
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices
- 3 years of experience in a network operations or software development role
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to drive software development solutions
- Experience with Machine/Deep Learning algorithms
- Experience with Data Visualization and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI)
- Experience with Big Data systems and processing (e.g. Apache Spark, Hadoop and Public Cloud technologies
- Experience in telecommunications environment
- Experience with event management system (Netcool,etc) or incident management system (Remedy/SNOW,etc)
- Understanding of networking concepts and Basic understanding of APIs
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with solid ability to identify and correct defects
NICE TO HAVE:
- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or similar networking certification will be an asset
Nice-to-Have Skills:
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (3), CCNA (3), CCNP (3)
