We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Representative in the Oakville area for a 6-month contracted position with the opportunity to turn into a permanent position. This individual will join a growing team in the industrial and manufacturing industry; daily tasks include receiving orders and processing/releasing them, working with the credit department if there are customer credit issues, working with the logistics team for rush shipments, working closely with the production planners and sales teams to coordinate orders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be able to listen and communicate clearly and precisely with both internal departments and external customers, multitask and prioritize within a fast-paced environment, work in a collaborative environment, have a basic knowledge of Excel, and adapt to the changing needs of customers and market conditions.
Advantages
- $23 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch, (35 hour work week)

Responsibilities
- Receiving, processing, and releasing orders
- Assisting with the resolution of customer credit issues
- Assisting the logistics team for rush shipments when necessary
- Working closely with the production planners and sales teams to coordinate orders in a timely manner
- Developing and maintaining strong and reliable relationships with customers in order to understand their needs.
- Working closely with Sales Representatives within each division or business unit to deliver customer needs accurately and on time.
- Overall collaboration with various company departments including sales, marketing, shipping and logistics, procurement and finance in order to provide the best customer experience possible.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in customer service
- Listen and communicate clearly and precisely with both internal departments and external customers
- Multitask and prioritize within a fast-paced environment
- Work in a collaborative environment
- A basic knowledge of Excel
- Adapt to changing needs of customers and market conditions
- SAP experience, or other experience with other ERP systems are an asset
- Previous experience with EDI/E-commerce is an asset
- Bilingual in French and English (both written and verbal) is an asset
