Responsibilities
As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for:
-Operating and maintaining chemical blending equipment
-Handling, storing, and transporting chemical materials
-Performing batch operations and sampling plant materials
-Responding to emergencies, including emergency shutdowns
-Completing plant data sheets, environmental reports, inventory sheets, forklift inspection reports, etc.
-Maintaining a high level of quality and housekeeping
-You may also be required to work weekends and holidays based on production needs.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
-1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the chemical industry
-Strong reading, mathematics, and technical skills
-Ability to qualify on various processes and equipment in a dynamic and complex chemical manufacturing environment
-Preferred forklift experience
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, forms, and procedures manuals
-Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels
-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
