Responsibilities
Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods across Canada and the USA, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and traffic laws
Inspect and secure loads to prevent damage during transit, ensuring weight limits and load distribution are adhered to.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including customs paperwork, bills of lading, and delivery receipts, ensuring compliance with border regulations.
Plan and optimize routes for efficiency, considering factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules.
Communicate effectively with clients and dispatchers, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any issues that may arise during transport.
Qualifications
Hold a valid Class 1 license.
Possess a valid passport and FAST card.
Legally entitled to work in Canada and cross international borders (where required).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant LTL and cross-border Class 1 experience
