Responsibilities
· Writing and editorial – You understand how content affects the client experience. You also understand the need to meet business objectives, and you’re adept at bringing the two sides together. You’ll write original copy that is impactful and engaging and in line with the Investor’s Edge style and voice. You’ll proofread and edit content from internal clients and external partners. You’ll maintain effective version control of content and copy decks and verify that all published changes are implemented exactly as specified and free of errors. You’ll ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards and best practices to promote brand consistency. You will work with French translation vendors and other Editorial Specialists within IE to ensure timelines are met. You’ll participate in QA testing activities, including copy reviews and addressing any discrepancies. You’ll also contribute to the identification and recommendation of future content-related site improvements through active awareness and understanding of industry best practices.
· Project management – You’ll work cooperatively with project team members within iterative and/or agile design and development processes. You’ll consistently meet deadlines while maximizing value for internal clients. You’ll independently prioritize assignments and communicate regular updates on deliverables, issues and timelines to team members and management.
· Relationship building – You know how to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and build productive partnerships with internal and external collaborators. You’ll work closely with Product and Project teams to prepare copy decks for new initiatives and coordinate content approvals with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders. You will reconcile divergent views, drive consensus and ensure all relevant stakeholders are appropriately engaged and updated on content-related deliverables.
· Content accessibility – You know Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and are familiar with accessibility requirements. You have mastered plain language, and know how to make content accessible for all clients. You’ll work with accessibility subject matter experts to ensure copy meets requirements. You will participate in usability testing activities, either as an observer or to help conduct tests."
Qualifications
· 5+ Years' experience as an editorial specialist, technical or UX writer.
· Samples of writing required
· Excellent writer with content development experience
· In-depth knowledge of style guides and applying style guides to written work
· Financial services experience, preferably with brokerage or investment knowledge
· Experience writing for digital platforms
· Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines
· Strong experience with Microsoft Suite
Nice to Haves:
· French language skills
· Investment industry certifications (e.g., CSC)
