Job Title: Corporate Accounting Manager
Location: Montréal
Salary : 90K-120K
Duration : Temporary to Permanent

Responsibilities
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee and manage financial operations, maintain accounting and financial systems, and develop and monitor budgets and forecasts. You will also collaborate with other teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, prepare financial statements, and manage audits and regulatory compliance.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage and take responsibility of all accounting operations including for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, taxes, reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
- Direct the development of annual operating plans, departmental budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, cost reduction initiatives/recommendations and profitability analysis.
- Complete monthly closing cycles to properly reflect the financial position of the company, profit & loss, capital base, cash from operations and operational metric reporting.
- Provide financial analysis support/guidance to all line managers and directors. Monitor the financial policies, practices and procedures of the operations.
- Ensure the necessary internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and adhere to management policies.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and execute on initiatives that contribute to the objective of building out the accounting team technology stack, specifically ERP, Accounting Management, and other system implementations.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- All other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English & French)
- CPA, a major asset
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation software.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
