Responsibilities
Cost Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis of cost data, including materials, labor, overhead, and other relevant expenses.
Identify cost drivers, trends, and patterns to provide insights into cost variances and potential cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with various departments to gather cost-related information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Budget Monitoring:
Assist in the creation and management of budgets by providing cost projections, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Monitor actual costs against budgeted amounts, investigate discrepancies, and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies and areas for cost reduction.
Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining or improving operational efficiency and quality.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare clear and concise cost analysis reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and other stakeholders.
Communicate complex financial data in a comprehensible manner, assisting in strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and other departments to ensure accurate cost data and to align cost analysis with business operations.
Provide financial expertise and support in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Data Integrity:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost data by conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulations related to cost analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor CPA ( an asset)
2-3 yrs of relevant experience
Bilingual
Strong Excel skills
experience working with an ERP such as SAP, JDE , Oracle, etc.
