Responsibilities
- Communicating (via phone/text/geotab) with drivers to advise their next pick-up and deliveries.
- Working closely with 15-20 drivers on any problems they may encounter
- Updating shipment status in the dispatch system
- Determining the best routes and order of pick-ups & deliveries.
- Working very closely with fellow dispatchers to co-ordinate the daily activities.
- Advising Customer Service Representatives of any issues so the CSR may communicate directly with clients.
- Verify order status
- Maintain the relationships with clientele
Qualifications
- French and English are mandatory
- At least one year's experience in the trucking industry, flatbed dispatching, preferably with LTL and FT, and in tie-down regulations.
- Team player. Able to work well with others
- Good communicator
- Solid geographical knowledge of Quebec
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- Computer savy
