We are currently looking for an Inventory Clerk for a six month assignment which has the opportunity to turn permanent. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping and receiving, posses strong English communication skills, be organized and comfortable with computers. Experience with dispatching would be considered an asset. A typical day in this role would include being responsible for communicating and coordinating of all orders with couriers. The Dispatcher is also responsible for ensuring all deliveries are scanned, routed, labeled and checked accurately prior to it being shipped. Strong attention to detail and to ability to prioritize efficiently is a must.

Responsibilities
- Assign a route and print labels for deliveries being prepared for shipping
- Ensures that all orders are accurately labeled and piece count verified
- Route confirms all routes and verifies piece count prior to handing shipments to courier
- Ensures that all orders are scanned prior to it being shipped
- Ability to build routes with density and use shipping program Tour Solver to assist in ensuring the required delivery times are met
- Responsible for continuously monitoring the shipping and warning screens on the Monarch system
- Responsible for changing the status of all equipment pickups to successful or unsuccessful
- Responsible for notifying Client Services of all unsuccessful deliveries and changing the order status on the Monarch system
- Must have a good understanding, and follow the guidelines as outlined in the shipping procedure
Qualifications
- Past experience in the transportation industry would be considered an asset
- Experience with shipping and receiving or route planning would be considered an asset
- Two to five years’ experience providing administrative support would be a requirement
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Bending and lifting up to 30 lbs. at times is required
- Excellent communication
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others and follow instructions
- Being flexible and adaptable to the work requirements
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment and help the team when ever needed
