Responsibilities
• Build and maintain relationships with a network of carriers.
• Source and secure reliable carriers to meet the company's transportation needs.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow carrier base.
• Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Evaluate and select carriers based on performance, cost, and service reliability.
• Manage contract negotiations and agreements with carriers.
• Coordinate the movement of goods with carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Track and monitor shipments to resolve any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and standards.
• Monitor carrier performance metrics and provide feedback for improvement.
• Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare reports on carrier performance and market trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Address and resolve any transportation-related issues promptly.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and
problem-solving.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience in the Transport industry
- Experience in a similar position or customer service
- English is necessary
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of the transportation industry, an asset
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
