As a Edge Engineer with our client, you’ll receive:

Responsibilities
Manage delivery configurations to enable new functionality in engineering projects. Provide input on design and best practices
throughout the development lifecycle. Coordinate with Project Managers for timely feature delivery and reliable uptime during QA testing.
Monitor web traffic, develop WAF/firewall rules to mitigate security risks, and analyze traffic logs and graphs to detect potential and past
attacks. Design intelligent blocking rules to safeguard web infrastructure while allowing legitimate access.
Organize network lists and oversee vendor IP additions and removals. Manage Web-based firewall rules, maintaining documentation for
access control. Renew or expire access as needed.
Review traffic waterfalls, identify potential issues and performance enhancements, and conduct scheduled site performance audits.
Initiate projects to address identified performance issues and standardize site features for optimized performance across all properties.
Develop automated deployment scripts to enhance deployment speed and organization. Collaborate with developers to create
deployment scripts for efficient provisioning of new properties and features. Integrate existing feature control into self-service tools for
easy management.
Qualifications
Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience.
5 or more years of experience in a Web Performance or Web Development-related role.
Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, SSL, Headers, Cookies, TCP, Caching).
Advanced knowledge of Cloudflare, Akamai, or other CDN solutions
Great understanding of HTTP waterfalls and browser performance metrics
Experience in working with security products like SHAPE (F5), WAF, DDoS, and Bot Mitigation tools.
Experience in implementing Edge/Workers, API and automation.
Exposure to bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
Ability to review traffic logs and develop WAF and Bot Mitigation strategies.
Understanding of website analytics tools, synthetic monitoring, RUM tools like Blue Triangle or mPulse, and monitoring/alerting
methodologies like Splunk.
Some programming/scripting knowledge would be a plus (preferably Python, Javascript, or PHP)
