The role of the Technical Service Engineer entails addressing incoming inquiries and requests related to technical support, parts, service, warranty matters, and customer complaints in relation to various equipment. The incumbent will take full responsibility for addressing and resolving issues promptly and to the satisfaction of the customer. The role might require availability for after-hours customer support when needed.

Responsibilities
Proficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, and commission intricate machinery systems equipped with electric, hydraulic, and permanent magnet motor drive systems.
Knowledge of reducers and clutches would be advantageous.
Familiarity with mechanical-based software such as SolidWorks or AutoCad would be highly beneficial.
Manage and coordinate projects for larger installations and critical orders.
Comprehend and address customer-specific software and hardware issues.
Configure operating systems using remote desktop connections to offer instant support.
Monitor the daily performance of customer systems as necessary.
Lead discussions on technical matters concerning all products and services, providing comprehensive solutions for unique challenges.
Maintain records of preventive maintenance visits, comprehensive work reports, and ensure effective communication to prevent future issues.
Discuss and promote service contract options and renewals with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Provide technical telephone support for customers and their equipment.
Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service.
Contribute to initiatives focused on continuous improvement to foster strong customer relationships.
Furnish essential technical documentation to customers, including drawings, technical manuals, BOMs, and bulletins.
Validate and sign off on all new system installations on behalf of the service department following new unit sales.
Supervise preventive maintenance programs and service activities, particularly for significant or critical projects.
Conduct on-site visits to assess customer requirements and promote service and parts opportunities.
Represent the service perspective in project leader meetings involving engineering for processing jobs.
Source external parts and services as needed to expedite issue resolution.
Willingness to travel when necessary.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a College or University.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in fieldwork.
Exceptional time management skills.
Strong professional communication skills for interactions with customers and internal teams.
Background of at least three years in customer service roles with a focus on technical support.
Ability to excel in a dynamic service-oriented environment.
Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite.
Solid technical aptitude or background.
Capable of conducting diagnostic tests to identify the root causes of customer concerns.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation related to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects.
