We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant within the Beamsville area. This fully in-office, full-time permanent position will involve AP, AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations, as well as other accounting duties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in day-to-day accounting activities, is highly organized, detail-oriented with strong communication skills and is experienced with various software - Business Vision Sage is preferred - as well as intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities
- Full cycle AP & AR
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and special reports as required
- Heavy focus on reconciling purchase orders to invoices
- Post journal entries and maintain general ledgers
- Review and calculate time sheets
- Record credit card transactions and perform reconciliations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with the mid-year audit review and end-of-year audit
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Degree in business with an accounting major, a professional accounting designation is considered an asset.
- Excellent understanding and thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and controls.
- Minimum 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles
- Strong understanding of accounts payable
- Excellent time management and established procedures for tracking time-sensitive tasks
- Good command of English, spoken and written is essential
- Intermediate to Advanced competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Proficiency with Business Vision (Sage) is considered an asset
- Organized and the ability to learn quickly
