Financial Controller

Role Overview:

As the Financial Controller, you'll be at the helm of all financial transactions, reporting, tax strategies, and payroll operations. A maestro of budgets and audits, you'll orchestrate the complexities of landed costs and steer the ship with your exceptional leadership. Responsibilities
Accounting:

- Lead and inspire the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team, fostering their growth and success
- Navigate a symphony of customer payments, including wires, credit cards, and electronic transfers.
- Conduct a masterful ballet of vendor payments, both domestic and foreign currencies
- Expertly handle foreign currency transactions, primarily in USD and Euros
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts with finesse
- Command the corporate CRA account, ensuring precision and adherence
- Take charge of HST/GST, WSIB, and EHT payments and reports, seamlessly managing compliance
- Craft compelling reports for year-end processes, showcasing your financial prowess
- Collaborate harmoniously with our external accounting firm, harmonizing accounting practices
- Be the virtuoso behind month-end and year-end financial statements, breathing life into balance sheets, income statements, and rolling 12-month summaries
- Navigate the intricate tax landscapes of both Canada and the US with skillful finesse
- Illuminate the path of financial business planning with proactive analytics and guidance
- Elevate efficiency through the orchestration of back-office automation processes
- As a beacon of the Senior Leadership Team, present detailed reports to our valued Shareholders
- Forge and lead our finance department

Payroll & Benefits Administration:

- Choreograph an Excel-based masterpiece to track absences and vacations
- Transform time cards into payroll poetry for our dedicated hourly employees
- Curate bi-weekly payroll experiences using ADP, a symphony of precision
- Curate a harmonious symphony of group benefits administration, including reviews, enrollments, and employee inquiries

Inventory Administration: A/R Clerk & A/P Clerk

- Curate a meticulous dance of Trail Balance management, aligning new inventory with invoices and Dynamics updates.
- Harmonize the movement of inventory, addressing any discrepancies with finesse
- Direct the flow of inventory transfers, orchestrating a seamless transition to overstock
- Lead the weekly ballet of cycle counts and variance investigation alongside the inventory Buyer/Planner
- Illuminate holds and balances weekly, ensuring stock remains a well-tuned instrument
- Collaborate with the Inventory Buyer/Planner in a year-end inventory reconciliation masterpiece

Qualifications
