In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and collaborate with teams across the organization, including Accounting, Project Management, Information Systems, and the Head Office finance team. You will be responsible for managing both internal and external financial reporting while playing a crucial role in the company’s compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Oversee internal financial reporting and prepare half-year and full-year financial statements under IFRS for the Head Office (HO).
- External Audits: Manage the IFRS audit process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to auditors and adherence to audit timelines.
- Compliance & Standards: Stay updated on IFRS changes and provide strategic business insights on compliance.
- Policy Development: Assist in the creation and maintenance of financial reporting policies and procedures.
- Forecasting & Planning: Lead tasks related to monthly forecasts, quarterly closes, annual budgets, and multi-year financial planning.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate financial reporting processes to improve data quality and efficiency.
- SOX Compliance: Manage internal audit requests and maintain financial reporting procedures in line with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Analysis & Reporting: Provide in-depth financial analysis, clearly explaining variances to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work with tax and legal advisors on corporate restructuring and contribute to the production of the Annual Report.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant role, ideally from an accounting firm or industry, with a strong focus on IFRS reporting and a CPA designation
- Strong analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge, particularly in IFRS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- A track record of driving process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience in financial modeling and reporting.
