Responsibilities
-Equipment Inspection: Perform and maintain logs of forklift inspections before each shift to ensure safety and functionality.
-Issue Reporting: Identify and report any equipment issues to the Supervisor promptly.
-Safe Operation: Safely operate various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products efficiently.
-Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products and materials manually or with basic material handling equipment.
-Customer Service: Load and unload customer vehicles with products or other materials, ensuring customer satisfaction.
-Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory throughout the plant and yard, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking.
-Goods Handling: Sort, crate, and stack goods to maintain an orderly storage area.
-Packaging: Wrap goods securely to prepare them for storage or shipment.
-Weighing Materials: Weigh materials and goods accurately to maintain precise records.
-Storage: Store cargo and materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and safety.
-Labeling: Stencil products with pre-made labels for identification and inventory purposes.
-Inventory Accuracy: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting overall inventory management efforts.
Qualifications
-Valid forklift certification required
-Previous experience operating a 5-ton+ forklift outdoors
-Ability to move materials safely and efficiently
-Skill in assessing weights, judging distances, and heights accurately
-Strong commitment to maintaining high safety standards
-Exceptional attention to detail
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
-Effective communication and teamwork skills
-Focused and accurate in completing both complex and repetitive tasks
-Professional attitude, especially when handling difficult or stressful situations
