Your Impact
You own the transition from "finished product" to "client success." You will:
Navigate High-Stakes Freight: Command heavy-duty forklifts to maneuver massive industrial coils and fragile architectural assets with the finesse of a specialist.
Design Load Geometry: Calculate and map out truck decks to solve the puzzle of weight distribution, ensuring every outbound haul is balanced, safe, and spatially optimized.
Fortify Outbound Assets: Utilize chop saws and industrial steel banding to customize crates and secure loads, guaranteeing that nothing shifts and nothing breaks.
Architect Yard Efficiency: Systematize storage zones and rack layouts to create a high-speed, low-risk environment where every component has a precise home.
Enforce Operational Integrity: Lead the charge on safety by auditing equipment daily and commanding "safe zone" protocols to keep drivers and teammates out of harm's way
Who You Are
Certified Professional: You hold a valid Forklift Certification and have a proven track record of safe operation.
Technically Proficient: You are experienced with steel banding machines, chop saws, and have a solid grasp of WHMIS protocols.
Spatially Intelligent: You possess the unique ability to visualize complex loads, ensuring weight distribution is both safe and efficient.
An Expert Communicator: You maintain a professional, authoritative demeanor when coordinating with production teams, order desks, and third-party drivers.
Physically Resilient: You thrive in an active, outdoor yard environment and are committed to wearing and maintaining all necessary safety gear (Steel-toed boots, high-visibility apparel, etc.).
Advantages
Starting Rate: $21.50/hour
The Path: This is a Temp-to-Perm (TTP) opportunity. We aren’t just looking for a seasonal hand; we are looking for a long-term team member to grow with the company
The Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Overtime: High-volume seasons mean plenty of overtime potential to maximize your paycheck.
Responsibilities
- Inspect all equipment prior to using/operating.
- Strapping of material on production carts (use of banding machine)
- Assisting of supplying coils to production
- Putting material in storage racks
- Receiving and marking coils
- Mapping and planning loads
- Organizing trucking shipments
- Counting, paperwork, quality control
- Loading ,unloading material onto trucks.
- Stacking coils
- Housekeeping – Ensure that the yard is kept neat and clean.
- Emptying knock out and garbage bins.
Qualifications
- Dependable, excellent attendance record
- Heavy lifting up to 50lbs
- Understanding of safety policies and their effects on personnel.
- How to use chop saw and steel binding machines.
- Good communication skills with production personnel, order desk, customers, couriers, and truck drivers
- Picking orders and strapping for properly safe loading, ensure strapping is tight so lifts don’t shift or fold.
- WHMIS Training
- Crane Certification
- Knowledge and skill to operate a forklift (certification required)
