Our client is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Off-Road Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a fully ticketed journeyman or red seal heavy equipment technician with expertise in repairing, rebuilding, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, augers, front end loaders, and backhoes. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of 200 pieces of mining equipment.
Dual ticket On-Road and Off-Road preferred, but a JM / Red Seal in Off-Road / Heavy Equipment Technician is mandatory.
This is for an In-City / no over night trips job in Calgary.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
Perform repairs, rebuilds, and routine maintenance on off-road heavy equipment.
Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to identify and address mechanical issues.
Collaborate with the team to complete scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
Conduct safety checks and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Ability to CVIP heavy equipment as required.
Occasional short trips in a repair truck for field service work.
Qualifications
What you bring:
*Journeyman or Red Seal certification as a Heavy Equipment Technician is mandatory.*
Dual ticket in heavy duty on-road and off-road equipment is preferred.
Proven experience working with off-road equipment such as dozers, excavators, augers, front end loaders, and backhoes.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Willingness to work a schedule of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays.
All work is currently inside the shop, with mobile repair work as day trips (no overnight stays).
