This is a permanent, full time, and hybrid role with the individual expected to be onsite at least two days per week, and locally based. The Analyst will seek to provide tier 3 applications support, propose new/enhanced business processes, document requirements, lead business process modeling, collaborate on technical requirements and specifications, and liaise with IMT development and support teams.

Conduct detailed business analysis, performs GAP analysis on current application technology, leads business process modeling and helps the business develop “to-be” business processes
Develops and/or coordinates the development of technical specifications and requirements for new reports, systems or enhancements, utilizing process and data modeling techniques
Conducts needs assessment and process facilitation with users to identify key organizational,
information and interaction requirements
Manages the execution of assigned projects or portions of IMT projects and solutions throughout the project life cycle, ensuring progress with planned milestones
Provides extensive testing of new reports, modules, enhancements, and interfaces
Ensures the seamless delivery of services to clients and acts as the primary contact between clients and in-house service and support groups, contractors, and vendors
Coordinates application development activities ensuring compliance with established change control procedures; and works closely with key IT staff to ensure the systems are operating at peak efficiency
Qualifications
5+ Years Experience as a Business Systems Analyst working on HR Information Systems (HRIS experience is mandatory)
5+ years of experience working with Payroll and Time and Labour modules
Considerable knowledge of IT standards, system development life cycle, and IT development
environments
Strong understanding of how business requirements are gathered, analyzed, and documented
University degree in Information Technology or other related discipline from a recognized post-
secondary institution
Ability to plan and manage moderate-sized projects, or portions of larger projects, manage teams of staff and contractors in the development, change management and implementation of systems, and work cooperatively in a team environment
Good judgment and the capacity to independently evaluate situations and identify the optimum course of action
Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate business requirements and project schedules with a customer and other project team members
Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated, and driven to succeed
Deals comfortably with senior management and can present and converse with people in positions of authority
Works well with small teams to take responsibility for and lead projects from start to finish
Summary
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working for public or nonprofit agencies is an asset
