Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults in company equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Machinery Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and remove machinery on production lines, including planning machine installations and alignments.
- Fabrication and Modifications: Fabricate machinery from constituent parts and modify production and machine shop equipment as necessary.
- Piping and Fittings: Perform pipe fittings work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and water systems.
- Machine Shop Operations: Operate machine shop equipment to close tolerances, and conduct general clean-up and maintenance of the shop area.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies, participating actively in ongoing training to maintain compliance.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and utilize OEM knowledge to support equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Welding: Perform welding tasks as required.
- Shift Flexibility: Be available to work alternate shifts as needed.
- Additional Duties: Undertake other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
*433A license is an asset but not required.
Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment - packaging industry preferred
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of OEM, and some experience with welding.
Safety Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations.
