Our client in the agri-food industry is currently looking for a technical project manager. Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Support, the primary duties of this position will be to plan, monitor and direct the successful execution of IT infrastructure and support projects to advance the client's IT infrastructure initiatives.
- The Director is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the client's head office located in Levis, Quebec. The company also has offices in Montreal.
- The role will be entirely telecommuting, with the exception of occasional meetings at the office (closest home base to the candidate)
- Types of projects to come: Implementation of infra project (CISCO project), Security project, Backup infrastructure, Installation of physical camera in factory, Upgrade of tools in office (Laptop/Desktop/Tools), working from home project. Server and process upgrades (Helpdesk, Ticketing, Network, Telecom
and other projects later in 2023)

Responsibilities
Act as a leader of multiple complex IT projects and ensure smooth day-to-day operations; ensure all projects are completed on time, on budget, and with a high level of quality.
Create clear and achievable deliverables based on project requirements.
Develop project charters and plans; identify and mitigate project risks; coordinate and schedule resources and tasks.
Monitor project milestones and initiate changes to project plans or resources to meet conditions or changes in project scope.
Prepare and deliver communications to all stakeholders, including leading and facilitating team meetings, preparing project status updates and reports, identifying risks and impacting project scope, budgets and resources.
Implement and promote change management activities that mitigate resistance to change and maximize employee acceptance and adoption.
Manage and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, which includes business units, end users, technical teams and external partners.
Apply project management expertise and structure the project portfolio through the implementation of a best practice project management framework.
Assist the IT team in providing support service, which includes assigned ticket investigations and processing, endpoint deployment, provisioning, user account management, software and hardware installation and upgrades, etc.
Leads or participates in assigned tasks and special projects.
Qualifications
- College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science;
- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT project implementation, including 3 to 5 years of experience in an IT support or networking support role and have progressed to a project manager role
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies; PMP or similar certification a strong asset
- Knowledge of ITIL processes an asset
- Agile certification is an asset, the company has started to move towards Agile, Scrum
- Working knowledge of computer hardware (laptops and desktops), software, operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 suite and Active Directory
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent outreach skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, goal setting and task prioritization skills
- Self-motivated; ability to take initiative to solve problems and find solutions with minimal supervision
- Advanced English and French language skills
