Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of general liability claims to include establishing coverage whether through primary or excess policies.
Complete investigation to include any statutory or contractual requirements to assess liability and exposure.
Evaluate damages and manage reserves based on recent developments of the file for most probable outcomes.
Manage any subrogation or tender opportunities.
Provide a high level of quality customer service by communication with the client and the parties involved.
Ensures claim files are properly documented.
Manage litigated claims by attending virtually to any legal proceedings. Securing budgets and case evaluations.
Negotiate and settle claims within the delegated authority.
Complete any reporting that is required.
Maintains professional client relationships.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
-Bilingual (French and English)
-Bachelor's degree or college diploma preferred.
Experience
-Four (4) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
-Subject matter expert of appropriate insurance principles and laws for line-of-business handled, recoveries offsets and deductions, claim and disability duration, cost containment principles
-Excellent oral and written communication
-PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
-Analytical and interpretive skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Good interpersonal skills
-Excellent negotiation skills
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations
