Responsibilities
The incumbent will have the opportunity to deliver a full range of change management services, and
will ensure change management is a primary focus of all strategic initiatives across the organization
to improve employee engagement, and ensure effective adoption to achieve business results/goals.
The IT Business Planner / Change Management Coordinator will also be responsible for
developing, implementing and supporting initiatives and stakeholder relationships that further the client
and ITS strategic goals and its leadership role in building technology-related value and capacity
within and with our various stakeholders and partner organizations in a manner that supports tenant-focused culture.
The IT Business Planner / Change Management Coordinator will support or facilitate activities
for Security Program including departmental communications and office services related
Qualifications
* Plan, co-ordinate, communicate, monitor, and report on the implementation of strategic
initiatives
* Ensure initiatives are delivered in accordance with internal, shareholder or other
requirements
* Consult with teams across business units as appropriate
* Develop recommendations to improve business processes
* Advice on improvements of performance measures and reporting as appropriate
Provide a full range of organizational development consultancy services across Toronto Community
Housing focusing on change management:
* Execute all aspects of organizational change management with a structured and proactive
approach, identifying training opportunities and recommending actions.
* Strategically apply a structured project and change management approach and
methodology to various initiatives.
* Identify and recommend areas of change and develop a change management plan based
on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by
the change.
* Conduct readiness assessments, including resistance and performance gaps, evaluate
results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
* Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and identify specific
actions to mitigate or address the concerns.
* Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including
communication plans, sponsor support plans, coaching plans, and resistance management
plans.
* Coach various levels of staff in supporting change efforts.
* Create and manage metrics and measure to track knowledge transfer and change
outcomes.
* Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.
* Provide support for management relationships within IT and by coordinating strategic
initiatives and fulfilling reporting requirements:
* Monitor, track and verify all reporting requirements from the Shareholder
* Build relationships with management within ITS and other business units to collaborate on
joint projects and annual reporting processes
* Consult and collaborate with other business units and executives leadership as appropriate
to gain their feedback on content areas
* Coordinate joint initiatives between ITS and other business units
* Project manage the delivery of key internal change projects including changes to policies,
procedures and business processes as required
* Plan and coordinate with ITS teams other divisions to review, update and create new processes,
policies, and procedures for the business of the ITS business unit, and where ITS unit is the policy
holder or subject matter expert, plan coordinate, communicate and monitor the implementation of
policies, processes, standards, protocols and procedures including any changes:
* Consult with relevant internal and external stakeholders on the development of new policies,
standards, processes, and procedures
* Project manage the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as
necessary
* Collaborate with strategic communications and learning and organizational development to
develop an implementation plan for newly developed policies and procedures
* In partnership with other divisions, coordinate and monitor staff learning initiatives and
management meetings related to policies and procedures
Develop reports, papers, briefing notes and presentations for internal use and to communicate to
stakeholders:
* Create reports for ITS management and leadership on matters including policy, standards,
processes, strategic planning, governance/performance measures, evaluation, strategic
initiatives, sector relations, and other areas and provides advice and expertise to the
business unit on improving management reports.
* Help other business units understand the ITS policies, standards, process
* Write reports for ITS management and leadership as required
* Document all work to ensure administrative support may readily continue by staff.
