The selected candidate has a “can do” attitude and is able to collaborate with various stakeholders. The duration of the contract is for 12 months and at our clients discretion, may be extended for up to an additional 6 months.
This is a Hybrid Role with candidates expected to be in the office approximately 1 day a week.
Work location is in the GTA.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will provide the following deliverables / artifacts:
• Develops and maintains the infrastructure architecture and associated standards, policies and guidelines; ensures that the architecture ‘concepts’ are communicated and accepted within the enterprise.
• Implements and maintains the infrastructure architecture from top to bottom to ensure that performance is optimal and not compromised and aligns to the overall strategy, roadmap and selected solutions.
• Provides technical leadership to the infrastructure team through coaching and mentorship.
• Collects and maintains documentation across various Technology components and develops an up-to-date repository of technology documentation.
• Conducts current state assessment on all Technology components such as Platform [incl. Storage], Network, Collaboration tools, Application, IT Service Management, Integration, Security and End point devices [incl. iOT and OT].
• Partners with Principal Architect, SME and Vendor to develop Future State Technology Roadmap.
• Partners with Vendors and Infra [operations] team for complete infrastructure design, systems analysis, and technical solution design documentation, testing and maintenance of data center operation, network & voice communication.
• Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
• Provide third level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise if required.
• Coordinates with project teams as necessary to decompose the architectural solution design into lower levels of details for development and testing; guides infrastructure team efforts towards successful project delivery.
• Assists in collection and documentation of user's capacity and availability requirements, development estimates and work plans.
• Ensures that high standards are maintained for network and infrastructure quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Participates in Architecture/IT Security Review Committee and ensures that infrastructure architecture standards are complied with and that any exceptions are managed with a view to minimize security and enterprise risks.
• Assists with estimation and review of solution specifications.
• Collaborates extensively with the application and data architects and with the IT security and risk team to ensure that new solutions comply with all architectural standards while also delivering value to the business.
• Proposes and implements industry best practices, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Assesses opportunities for network and infrastructure and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
• Researches and recommends new technologies to support the business; participates in system and solution selection.
• Document all work to ensure operational support may readily continue by staff.
Qualifications
Education
Formal Education & Certification:• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
Experience
Technical Skills:• Minimum ten (10) years of senior-level architecture experience.
o With a deep focus and experience in conducting network assessment, end point devices [iOT, OT, Workstations, Servers, Mobile devices], Building Disaster Recovery, Assessing backup, restore, archive and storage, Identity and access management platforms.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in leading cloud model architecture and Windows end-user computing.
