The Business Analyst will be involved in the following duties:
Primary Duty: Day-to-Day Functions
Preparing and issuing transportation contracts.
Providing customer service for setting up new accounts, instructing on systems, addressing customer contracting issues, and posting information as required.
Following contract governance and tariff guidelines at all times.
Processing and assisting customers with day-to-day contracting transactions.
Secondary Duty: Process and System Functions
Assisting in determining requirements for process/system improvements with the goal of minimizing risk, ensuring accuracy, maximizing value, and setting up new processes for the team.
Collaborating with the IT group to provide requirements, test changes, develop rollout plans, and implement changes internally and externally as required.
Secondary Duty: Analytics and Reporting Functions
Providing reporting support for management and cross-functional teams (Nominations, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal).
Conducting ad hoc analysis, data compilation, and manipulation with large data sets.

Qualifications
• Pipeline regulatory knowledge, comfort with tariffs, knowledge of contract terms and conditions and experience with commercial services an asset;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills, and able to balance multiple competing priorities;
• Ability to collaborate with diverse departments without direct supervision while representing the Contracting team;
• Awareness and knowledge of end-to-end process in order to assess impacts to upstream and downstream functions an asset;
• Strong computer skills, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - able to manipulate large data sets into readable and usable information;
• PowerBI experience
• Exercises good judgment in selecting and interpreting information, handling deviations from standard methods, and resolving difficulties;
• Challenges and improves business processes within area of responsibility and understands impact within the business area;
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business/Commerce or Economics.
• Midstream oil and gas/pipeline experience would be considered an asset
