Responsibilities
- Work directly with our long-standing local clients including municipalities, indigenous communities, and land developers to help realize their infrastructure projects.
- Provide design support including preparation of drawings, calculations and modelling for civil works (water, wastewater, stormwater and roads)
- Author technical memos and reports to support projects from feasibility through to detailed design
- Assist in the preparation of approval, tender and contract documents
- Complete field inspections to monitor the quality and progress of the work being performed
- Provide support to other departments (survey, materials testing, and environmental engineering) to learn about and develop a holistic approach to project execution
- Work with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution with 4+ years related experience
- Proficiency in the application of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Construction related experience is an asset
- Registration in good standing as an Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered
- High productivity, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment
- Possession of a valid BC driver’s license is required at the time of hire
