Our client, a leading supplier of industrial real estate, is looking to hire a Coordinator, Legal Affairs in Corporate Services for their downtown Montreal office.

- Salary range from $55k/year to $65k/year + 5% bonus (depending on experience);
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of various tracking tools to manage team workflow and the status of legal documentation.
- Prepare, under the supervision of a legal professional, documents and legal correspondence in accordance with precedents or directives.
- Monitor and manage corporate books, annual registrations and updates with external legal counsel.
- Maintain an up-to-date file list.
- Assist team in opening, closing and archiving files.
- Maintain filing of letters, e-mails, procedures and other documents. File documents according to established nomenclature.
- Assist in the translation of documents.
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance and updating of legal templates.
- Manage and follow up on fee accounts submitted by external advisors.
- Prepare contracts and other documents for signature, obtain the required signatures and ensure filing in the appropriate files.
- Follow-up and suggest relevant legal training for litigation.
- Develop tools and participate in the implementation of systems and processes for the continuous improvement of litigation and the company.
- Any other related tasks or ad hoc initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience as a legal assistant or other equivalent or relevant training or experience.
- A certificate or diploma in paralegal technology or legal assistance is an asset.
- Experience in real estate is not a prerequisite, but will be considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, mainly Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English are required. Knowledge of English is essential, as you will be working with colleagues, internal stakeholders, partners and tenants across Canada.
- Strong interpersonal, management, organizational and collaborative skills.
