JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently looking for experienced Machine Operators with technical abilities to join our team working in the Extrusion or Press departments. We need people who care about the work they do, with a positive attitude, good attendance, quality-focused with strong attention to details.
· In extrusion you will operate single, and multilayer blown film extruders and use blenders, vacuum loading systems, roll carts, skid wrappers and core cutters
· In press you will operate gear and/or servo-based presses, work with inks for colour-matching, use core cutters, hand tools and pallet jacks to secure finished products on skids
· Actively participate in shift handover meetings to prepare for successful runs during the shift
· Work as a team to follow production schedules, complete changeovers and meet production goals
· Perform quality checks and report variances, ensure film sampling, and follow quality standards
· Participate in scheduled equipment PM’s and troubleshoot machine operation issues
· Follow established safety protocols , wear all PPE and report health & safety hazards
· Maintain clean and safe conditions around equipment and surrounding work area
· All other duties as required by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
· 3+ years of machine operator experience required
· Proficiency in reading, writing and basic math is a must
· Basic computer skills for production data entry
· Be able to lift up to 50lbs and standing for extended period
· Available to work 12-hour monthly rotating shifts and some weekends
