Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Manage: Supervise a team of machinists, mentor staff, and develop lead roles to streamline operations.
Machine Setups & Modifications: Hands-on setups for Mazak, Doosan, and Haas machines. Work with 2-axis turning, 4-axis milling, and help implement 5-axis milling.
Programming & Design: Use Fusion 360 for creating setups, programming, and modifications. Lead the transition toward a G-code-based environment.
Production Oversight: Manage both custom and batch production runs (from 1 to 500 parts), ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
Adaptability: Play an active role in driving the shop’s development and adjusting to new processes, tools, and technology.
Qualifications:
Expert in Mazatrol for lathe programming and G-code for mills.
Proven experience with Fusion 360 for setup design and modifications.
Experience in custom machine shop settings with frequent setups and adjustments.
Leadership experience managing a CNC team, improving productivity, and holding the team accountable for quality and output.

Daily Operations Management:
Overseeing machining processes, managing production schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met. Responsibilities include maintaining quality control, enforcing safety protocols, managing inventory and resources, and implementing process improvements.
You need exprience in lathe conversational programming (with the majority on Mazitrol).
Needs to be able to do design in fusion 30 as well as writeout set-ups in longhand
Needs expereince in a custom machine shop settings. be able to do multiple set ups and modifications on lathes and milling machines
Have expreince in set ups and modifications on Mazak and Doosan 4 axis milling machines
Epereince in conversational as well as g-code set ups for lathes
needs expreince in overseeing and managing a machine shop team in production. needs to be able to audit , coach mentor and be accountable for the teams production levels including being accountable for waste.
Team Leadership & Development:

Coordination with Other Departments:
Collaborating with engineers, purchasing, and management to align production goals with company objectives. Troubleshooting operational issues and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality production.
Technical Requirements:
Proficiency in G-code programming
Familiarity with Fusion 360, with openness to transitioning to other CAD/CAM software like Mastercam
Experience with a variety of CNC machines, including Mazak, Doosan, Haas, and Hurco
Strong background in 2-axis turning and 4-5 axis milling
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A hands-on supervisor who leads by example on the shop floor
Strong problem-solving skills, able to step in and make immediate improvements to operations
