We are looking to add a Journeyman Machinist to our custom metal manufacturing team! We need someone who will be able to work on teardowns and the rebuilds of large scale forestry machinery. In some cases you may use manual lathes on site at our facility so having a good understanding of tolerances and a good grasp on reading blueprints is preferred in this role. We are looking to hire someone adaptable and willing to learn a variety of machinery.

Shift: Days - Monday- Friday some OT offered
Shift Time: 7AM-330PM + shift premium
Wage offered: $42.73 to start
This is a transit accessible location but license preferred
*Steel toe boots required*

Responsibilities
- Daily tasks subject to change giving you a chance to work with a variety of machines
- Operate a manual lathe - this job has lots of hands on work
- Handles teardowns, or rebuilds as needed
- Sometimes go onto clients sites to assist with assembly or troubleshooting
- Meet deadlines and read exact blueprints and schematics
- Repair, and preventatively maintain machinery
- Work with and fabricate a variety of metals and materials
Qualifications
- 5-7 years experiences in Manal Machining
- Ability to draft and read blueprints
- Experience with preventative maintenance on large scale equipment
- Enjoys tearing down and re assembling machines
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments, and can keep up with the other physical demands
- Able to stand, bend or move throughout your day consistently
- Located in or around the Surrey, BC area
