Responsibilities
· Assisting in developing production schedules (by departments)
· Read and understand Engineering & Assembly drawings
· Tracking and organizing process flow of projects
· Reporting to upper management, as requested
· Ensuring part quality requirements are maintained
· Ensuring on-time deliverables are being maintained (by department)
· Ensuring sufficient inventory levels are being maintained
· Investigate production problems, analyze root causes and provide solutions
· Escalate complex problems to manager
· Support factory needs and requirements
· Collaborating with Engineering, Sales and Production personal
· Expedite schedules on a need basis
· Ensuring part quality requirements are maintained
· Visual inspection of parts for orientation and finish
· Perform inspections of completed work or work in progress by using different types of calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices to determine the quality of parts.
· Dimensionally confirm production parts meet drawing requirements (sign-off on drawings)
· Grouping/kitting finished work and purchased items for future processes (Forming to Assembly)
· Assist with other tasks as directed by management
· Ensuring a clean and tidy work environment is maintained
Qualifications
· Strong work ethic
· People management skills
· Ability to work as a team
· Independent work ethic
· Willingness to “get the job done”
· Understanding of Laser Cutting / Forming / Bending practices
· Understanding of machining practices
· Strong understanding of process flow through a manufacturing facility
· Forklift certification will be a good asset
