We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated, fully ticketed 4th Class Power Eng ( or a 5th class with refridge experience) for a Chilliwack manufacturing company, who leads the way in their industry, but has a close-knit team keeping it running.
Our client, a leader in specialty foods manufacturing, is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering ticket to join their growing team in Chilliwack, BC. The company is recognized globally, with locations in 85 countries and a history of continuous growth and expansion. This role will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing a fully automated food production facility. The position is ideal for those with a passion for both mechanical maintenance and power engineering.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular and preventive maintenance on automated production machinery, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components.
Boiler Operation: Oversee the operation and maintenance of boilers and other pressurized systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and optimal performance.
Building Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance of the facility's infrastructure, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
Production Support: Work closely with the production team to reduce downtime, address equipment malfunctions quickly, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a high standard of safety and food quality by adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. Perform regular inspections and ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
Documentation & Reporting: Use maintenance management software to log maintenance activities, track spare parts usage, and document equipment history.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Power Engineer Certification: Minimum 5th Class Power Engineering with refrigeration endorsement or 4th Class Power Engineering.
Maintenance Experience: 2+ years of experience in a maintenance mechanic or industrial maintenance role, preferably within a food manufacturing or automated production facility.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, pumps, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
Team Player: Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills, contributing positively to a team-oriented work environment.
Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Safety-Oriented: Proven track record of maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety policies and protocols.
