The positions will predominantly based in Greater Vancouver and have a M-F day shift schedule, with potential overtime, call ins when there is a breakdown and potential work on projects at their other locations.

Responsibilities
•Perform the required maintenance on all stationary equipment, mobile plant equipment and building components of the Plant.
•Carry out regular inventory control procedures
•Maintain, overhaul and repair all equipment in the Plant ie: balers, conveyors, sort line, and all other related equipment.
•Modify and fabricate equipment to fit new production requirements or solve production and/or safety issues.
•Assist contractors with repairs or overhauls with new equipment installations as required.
•Perform cutting, grinding, fabricating and welding as required.
•Operate mobile equipment as required
•Complete daily housekeeping assignments.
•Constantly monitor plant equipment to pin point problems before they arise
•Fill out daily maintenance log sheets
•Some weekends and night shift work will be required.
Qualifications
Skills we are looking for:
•Good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components.
•Must be able to work well in an unsupervised environment and as part of a project team.
•Proven troubleshooting ability with emphasis on safety and reliability.
•Must be well organized.
•Good communications and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to perform machining would be an asset.
•Must be aware of all safety standards and requirements for maintenance work
